Excuses, Excuses …

I swear ~  I have a good reason for not having a blog post today.

I just spent the last few days in Texas for my brother’s wedding …

Kremer and Salerni

My sister Laurie, me, and our handsome husbands on the way to the wedding.

Our new family

My newly expanded family ~ Congratulations, Brian and Laura!

And now, I’m home! But I’ve got THIS:

Morrigan Galley

That’s the first pass pages for my next book, which I need to proofread. I’ve got two days to get it done. It has to be mailed back to Harper on Wednesday.

So that’s what I’ve been up to. What’s keeping YOU busy?

Hi Dianne – how lovely the wedding looked and so much fun being there … as well as all the new family – delightful. Yes two beautiful ladies with two handsome men .. and then Brian and his lovely wife, Laura.

Now The Morrigan’s Curse awaits … happy read through .. cheers Hilary

  2. Looks like a fun wedding. I’m heading to Texas this weekend for my mother-in-law’s 80th birthday. Good luck with your deadline.

Congratulations to them! And to the fabulous author of The Morrigan’s Curse, of course.

  8. Congratulations to them. It looks like it was nice.

  10. Yay. What a fun trip. It looks like a beautiful wedding. I just got my copyedits in the mail, so I feel your pain! I have to have them back in a week…they were sent to the wrong address somehow and my editor mailed them and left for vacation, so it’s been an adventure just getting them!

  11. That’s a good excuse. No worries.

Good luck proofreading. That’s always a fun stage because it means you’re close!

  12. Yikes! I hope you made your deadline. That’s some epic fast proofing.

  13. Weddings are always a good excuse to not have done something. ^_^ Congrats to your brother and his bride. And oi, it’s two days later now – hopefully you got the proofing done! O_o

  14. A wedding is a GREAT excuse for a change in routine. And a wonderful opportunity to get together with family members… AND to dance with you hubby! I hope you had a lot of fun.

I hope your proofreading went well. 🙂

    Happy weekend.

  15. What a great reason to not blog! Congratulations on gaining new family. 🙂

And woo hoo!! So exciting about Morrigan’s curse. My son just finished The Inquisitor’s Mark so he’s letting me borrow his book so I can read it. But when he finished, he looked up from the book with wide eyes. “THAT was a GOOD book!!” He’s anxious for the next one, and already trying to guess what will happen. 😀

  16. What lovely photos. There’s nothing like a deadline to get focused on the task – good luck!
