Dagnabbit! The refrigerator that came with our house gave up the ghost last year, and we bought a new one. It keeps food cold and also dispenses ice and cold water from the door. So, we probably wonβt be in the market for this new gem β the Samsung refrigerator that accesses Pandora while you cook, lets you type memos or keep the family Google calendar right on the refrigerator door β and Tweets! Yes, you can Tweet right from your refrigerator!
My husband says the Twitter function can be useful for maintaining your diet, if the refrigerator automatically Tweets every time you open it and posts what you remove on your Facebook account.
(I shudder to think what my refrigerator could tell the world about me.)
Check out this video below, and sound off β what do you want YOUR refrigerator to be able to do?
That is HILARIOUS. I had never heard of this. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but I admit, I find some of it kind of creepy (the Tweet thing). The recipe search is pretty cool, though my laptop sits on the breakfast bar and I do all those things from there instead of while standing in front of my fridge.
I’d be afraid the fridge would set up its own Twitter account, and quickly outstrip me in the follower department. My ego is fragile enough as it is. π
LOL. Some technology seems like it is really awesome. This one feels like it missed the mark. Just because we can, doesn’t mean that we SHOULD. Wow.
bwahaha! That is one smart fridge!
If that’s true, I wouldn’t be stashing my chocolate in the freezer (I love it frozen). And I’d only keep healthy stuff in the fridge (and hide the bad food else where). π
*jaw drops* You have got to be kidding me. That is absolutely hilarious. Man, I am SO behind the times… Mine only makes ice π SO old fashioned!!
This kind of stuff freaks me out. I really just want my refrigerator to be a refrigerator. Is that too much to ask these days?
Shut UP—no way!!! hahahaha, had no idea! And umm your hubz diet idea freaks me out!!!!
It’s hard to keep up with technology. I usually consider myself a pretty simple person – But I want one of these! I love “All In One” things – makes life easier. And I’m all for that!
Un-freaking-believable. Nah, I don’t want my fridge to do all that stuff for me, any more than I want my car to do the ironing. Technology is great, but I prefer separation of functionality. The higher the number of functions built into an item, the lower my expectations are that it’ll perform well at those function.
My husband claims he invented this, except in his version the fridge also kept track on whatever we were short on…
It’s only matter of time before every household item can tweet. π
I have to agree with Heather; just because we can doesn’t mean we should.
Don’t want a refrigerator that can tweet. Spend too much time in the kitchen already. I just want my refrigerator to keep my food cold and fresh.
