I know from being a member of several social media groups that not every writer is lucky enough to have a supportive family. Therefore, I feel triply thankful to have a family that not only supports me in my writing but also volunteers their multitude of talents to help me. Gabrielle designed the Eighth Day family crests for the tattoo swag I give out to readers.
My husband has supported me in too many ways to count, including his photography. One of his photos became the cover of The Caged Graves.
This past weekend, Bob put his photography to use again to create a book promo image for The Morrigan’s Curse, which releases in two months. My other daughter, Gina, graciously agreed to be the model for the Girl of Crows — her being the right age (and, more importantly, having the right hair for the job). I just wanted to show off their brilliant work. I hope WordPress doesn’t mangle the high resolution of the image. (But if it does … I know my husband will fix it for me.)
I love the support of my family, it’s so important. Great job with the girl of crows!
Hi Dianne .. that’s wonderful to read – especially now at Thanksgiving time. So pleased everyone’s helping out with their skills – it must make a world of difference …
Clever family … and then Gina modelling The Game of Crows for Morrigan’s Curse for you … love her hair and those crows – cruel ‘beasts’ …
Great post .. Have a very happy Thanksgiving .. cheers Hilary
Very awesome! That’s great your family really gets behind you with support beyond just words.
Yeah for family support! The image look really cool.
What a talented family you are! Family support is soooo important (and something I wish I had more of). Don’t ever take it for granted.
Gina is awesome as the Girl of Crows! Super pics by your husband and so nice your whole family supports you! 🙂
